Free-Range, Grass-Fed Native-Breed Beef Barded Topside
A traditional roasting joint, full of flavour and prepared with extra care for a delicious family roast.
Our Free-Range, Grass-Fed Native-Breed Beef Barded Topside is a wonderful choice for a traditional Sunday roast or a special family gathering. Topside is a classic roasting joint, and by barding it with a layer of fat, we help protect this naturally lean cut during cooking, keeping it moist and adding extra flavour as it roasts.
At Bramblebee Farm, we believe great beef starts with good grass. Our traditional Native-Breed cattle graze the RSPB Ouse Washes at Welney, Cambridgeshire, during the summer months, feeding on the natural floodplain pastures as part of our commitment to farming in harmony with nature.
Our farm grazing includes old pastures and clover-rich grasses. We aim to use as little artificial fertiliser as possible, keeping chemical use on our grassland to a minimum.
During winter, we feed our cattle hay and silage produced on the farm, alongside straw from neighbouring fields. Surplus vegetables and apples are also fed to our livestock, together with essential minerals to support a balanced diet.
By allowing our cattle to mature slowly and feeding them with care, we aim to produce beef with the depth of flavour and quality that we're proud to bring to your table.
A roast to savour
Roast gently to your preferred level of doneness and allow the meat to rest before carving thinly against the grain. Serve with crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and plenty of rich gravy for a delicious, traditional roast dinner.
From our carefully managed grasslands to your table, every joint reflects our commitment to good farming, traditional breeds and quality beef.
Good grass, well-raised cattle and a little extra care — enjoy a true taste of Bramblebee Farm.
