Bramblebee Grass-Fed Mutton Leg Joint
A traditional roast with a rich, distinctive flavour.
Looking for something a little different for your Sunday roast? Our grass-fed mutton leg joint offers a deeper, richer flavour than lamb, making it a wonderful choice for those who appreciate traditional, flavoursome meat.
Sourced from a local family farm in Southery, just a few miles from Bramblebee Farm, our mutton comes from grass-fed sheep. We carefully select the animals, looking for a good carcass and the right balance of fat to deliver the flavour and quality we want for our customers.
Our mutton comes from Texel and Suffolk breeds, both renowned for their meat-producing qualities.
What exactly is mutton?
Mutton comes from sheep aged two years or older. Compared with lamb, it has a more pronounced, distinctive flavour that really shines when cooked slowly.
Give your leg joint plenty of time to cook gently and allow it to rest before carving. The result is beautifully tender meat with a rich, satisfying flavour. Serve with crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and plenty of gravy for a proper traditional roast.
