Bramblebee Grass-Fed Mutton Shoulder Joint
A rich, traditional roast with bags of flavour — perfect for your Christmas table!
Looking for something a little different for your festive feast? Our grass-fed mutton shoulder joint is a wonderful alternative to the usual Christmas roasts, offering a deeper, richer flavour that makes it well worth the wait.
Sourced from our local family farm in Southery, just a few miles from Bramblebee Farm, our mutton comes from grass-fed sheep. We carefully select the animals, looking for a good carcass and the right balance of fat to deliver the flavour and quality we want for our customers.
Our mutton comes from Texel and Suffolk breeds, both renowned for their meat-producing qualities.
What is mutton?
Mutton comes from sheep aged two years or older. Compared with lamb, it has a more pronounced, distinctive flavour that really shines when cooked slowly.
Our mutton shoulder is ideal for slow roasting until beautifully tender, allowing the rich flavour to develop fully. Give it plenty of time to cook and rest before serving, and you'll be rewarded with succulent meat that pulls apart beautifully.
