My joint of whole pork belly bone out was gently baked in a covered roasting dish after being seasoned with my own rib-rub. Not too spicy. I cooked it with the rind on so when I removed it the rind was soft. However, removing it and air frying it made it really crispy. I then used the pork, which was incredibly tender, as part of a stir fry and made a molasses sauce to accompany it all. I'm after one again this week! Bet you can't guess why.... Oh, and I got dinner for 3 one day, and dinner for 2 for the next 2 days, so it's also very cost effective.
Just looking at the way Bramblebee meats are wrapped and presented you know it’s going to be top quality. Once opened you know you’re in for a treat. Already scored helps to simplify cooking, the end result was delicious a mouthwatering golden crackled crust over a juicy tender pork belly. A real treat.
Beautiful piece of pork, good layer of fat and superb taste.
This pork belly has a very substantial feel to it quite different from the supermarket. It also tasted superb. if you want to make crackling on a slow cook a good fat layer below the skin is required - and this pork belly had exactly that. (check with Paul as the fat content depends on season).
Excellent pork with lovely crisp skin
