Hello and welcome to Bramblebee farms brand new micro dairy and the first dairy in Emneth since 1947 has landed in the summer of 2023.
This is a brand new venture from the farm the idea is listening to what our customers wanted and that was milk!! I also hope this helps the next generation start on the farm and take a fair wage.
The cows are of New Zealand genetics which is basically a 3 way cross of Jersey, British Freisian and Brown Swiss the idea behind this mix of breeds is a small hardy cow designed to be at grass all year round producing high quality milk
As of our first week milking we are milking 3 cows
Half Pint a 8 year old cow brought in as she was destined for burgers but was a good cow and should suit us for a few years
Daisy well she’s a bit different a bucket calf reared for meat she’s a Angus cross dairy and a lovely heifer and was the first cow we milked
Dirty Diana al NZ genetic heifer brought in calf, she’s got some character hence her name but producing some real creamy milk.
These cows are not high yielding but the quality is amazing.
Good milk contains calcium, riboflavin, phosphorous, vitamins A and B12, potassium, magnesium, zinc, iodine.
So well worth drinking
Our herd will be growing as 2 more are due to calf shortly then it will grow to demand We hope as and when we can to add more products to the milk products Creams, Butter, Buttermilk, Maybe soft cheeses and ice creams as time goes on.
We are very excited keep following us on Facebook and YouTube to stay updated and see our cows
